It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the record chasers, are the only things left for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to maintain a record if not provided the possibility.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was far harder to anticipate.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this World Cup want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at an important competition.
